The 75th annual Apple Pie Jamboree returns to Pateros July 15-17 in and near Memorial Park, with activities ranging from watercross racing to a parade, and a quilt show to 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
Proceeds from the event go toward community grants and youth activities.
Events get underway at 5 p.m. Friday with pie and ice cream in the park, between Lakeshore Drive and the Columbia River.
Vendors will be open all day offering food, beverages, art and craft and other items.
Registration for the Color Run is at 6:30 a.m. at the Pateros United Methodist Church, 124 Dawson St. The race begins at 7:30 a.m.
Basketball will be in the parking lot across Lakeshore Drive from the park. As of mid-June, organizers said if enough teams haven’t pre-registered, the 3-on-3 tournament may be canceled.
The Columbia River Quilt Guild’s show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The jamboree parade starts at 10:30 a.m. along Lakeshore Drive. Registration and staging is at 9:30 a.m. north of the downtown area.
Watercross racing and live entertainment will follow.
Vendors and watercross racing is also planned Sunday.
