Fourth of July Events Abound



Communities throughout Okanogan County will celebrate Independence Day with a variety of events and activities.

Events, by community include:


Brewster

The Brewster Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Fourth of July parade at 11 a.m. July 4, on Main Street.

A youth talent show is planned at noon at the Brewster Boys and Girls Club followed by activities including a dodgeball tournament and color run.

Live music is planned in Columbia Cove Park at 8 p.m.

Fireworks are set for around 10 p.m. over the Columbia River.


Chesaw

Independence Day activities kick off July 3, with a dance at the community hall at 9 p.m. Music will be provided by a DJ.

Admission will be charged.

July 4 brings family games for all ages at 10 a.m. throughout town.

A parade through town will be at 12:30 p.m., followed by the 82nd annual Fourth of July Rodeo at 1 p.m.


Conconully

Conconully’s traditional Independence Day Celebration boasts a full schedule of events Saturday, July 6.

Events include music, vendors, youth activities, duck races, car show and more.


Oroville

A fireworks show will begin around 10 p.m. – or whenever it gets dark - over Deep Bay.

Organizers said the best viewing point is from Deep Bay Park, but the show also can be seen from many other locations on Lake Osoyoos.

Carpooling is encouraged, since the park can fill up quickly.

The event is coordinated by the Oroville Chamber of Commerce.


Twisp

The Fourth of July parade will be at 11 a.m. July 4 on Glover Street, with lineup at 10 a.m.

Afterward, the annual Methow Arts Fest will run until 4 p.m. in the town park. Admission will be charged.

The event features arts and crafts, food, live music and more.
